30 Paintings in 30 Days - Once Again

Well, I am back at it.  At first I resisted with September being such a busy month and all - with two weddings and a new grandbaby on the way clear across the country!  However, I had enough notice this time to do enough (is there ever enough?) front end planning.  I ordered art supplies to fill in the gaps, ordered archival mats and backing from my favourite framer for the water-colours paintings and organized my reference materials.

Bee-utiful by Helen Shideler

I mean I feel like I am good to go.  We shall see how it does go.

My first painting for this event is called “Bee-utiful”.  A bee on a pompom dahlia in rich gold and yellow shades.  This is a 5.5”x7.5” transparent watercolour on Arches 300lb paper.  It is matted and ready for your 8x10 frame.
