Painting in the central greens and starting around the two roses at the top. Using green-gold, sap and pyrlene greens in various mixtures - with a hint of indigo to deepen the darkest areas. Once the central area was completed and I stepped back to look at it from a distance, I decided to paint over the area with clear water to push it back some. When you attempt to paint with water in this manner, you have to always clean your brush well between dips or you will muddy up or transfer your colors into areas you had not intended. Once I completed the "water" layer, I when back in and sharpened up some of the thorns with green-gold hi-lights.
I have also drawn in more detail of the rose structure and have begun work on the third rose.
