We call this regular little visitor to our bird feeders the Furry Bird. They, I say they as we are unsure if there are more than one. We are pretty sure there has to be by the volume of black oil sunflower seeds we go through! They climb right into the feeder and stuff their cute little cheeks. And I say little cheeks with a smile. They can literally stuff seeds halfway the length of their bodies - and on both sides. We enjoy watching their antics. We have many sunflowers growing in various planters as a result of their efforts. We have gotten to the point where we no longer weeks the strays out of the planters or gardens and just enjoy they unusual planting arrangements.
This is a 9" x 12" watercolour and is coming with me to the SKB Workshop in Dubois, WY later in September
