So, for the past two months I have been obsessed with poured paintings. I have many on the go - and a few recently completed. This painting is a result of a road trip to Bar Harbour Maine (two summers ago - but don't tell) - one of my favourite tourist traps weekend getaways. I love this place and all the trappings that go with it - and Acadia National Park - a first rate fabulous place...humbling place with its incredible views, beaches, gulls and trails! We went there on a photo shoot, um... actually I went there on a photo shoot. My incredibly patient husband humoured me - and actually flushed out a few sea gulls for me. Now I know what you must be thinking. You live on the East Coast and you have to go for a weekend getaway to take photos of gulls? Yes, for two reasons. I have to make an event of the photo shoot or it may not happen. Coming from the East Coast of Canada we take them for granted. And by making a trip out of it, I had three days to focus on my target.
I knew in order to get what I was looking for it really meant going a road trip!
